Sarah Jessica Parker has a line of clothing out called Bitten. Everything in the line - jeans, jackets, jewelry, everything - is $20 or under. SJP wants people to be fashionable even if they don't have a ton of cash. Very admirable.
The only store that carries it, to my knowledge, is Steve and Barry's. The closest one to me is at the Eastfield Mall in Springfield, which is about an hour away as it's on the far eastern side of the city which is basically inaccessible by highway. I've never gone because it seemed like kind of a pain in the ass to get to, although I've wanted to check it out and own some of her clothes.
Well, S&B's is going out of business, so I figured I'd better high tail it if I wanted to own any of the Bitten line. I went up this past Thursday with my Mom. Lots of cute stuff in the store. None of the clothes looked good on me, but I did get a beautiful gold winter scarf and a long brushed gold-tone necklace with a pretty light blue stone wrapped in gold wire at the end. These two, plus every other item in the store, are only $8.98 each! It's a going out of business sale, yo!
They have college jackets, T-shirts, jeans, PJ's and other celebrity lines, including Venus Williams and Stephon Marbury (who I always thought was kinda cool because instead of going for a crazy lucrative sneaker deal, he designed something even people on the tightest budgets could afford). Especially with school starting soon, I can't recommend the place enough. Pop in - you're bound to find something you like. And for $8.98, you can't go wrong!

I've only been to the Steve & Barry's in Ann Arbor, MI, but it was pretty cool. I got a bunch of Michigan shirts and a huge Michigan beer stein for like 30 bucks.
