Previews

Toast and I went to see The Dark Knight over the weekend. AMAZING!!! Absolutely wonderful movie - great pace, great acting, great development. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

But even before the movie started, two previews had me staring at the screen, mouth agape.

Quantum of Solace, the new James Bond movie looks incredible. I've read all the Bond books and Daniel Craig is the best. Bond. Ever. I shall never miss a one if he is in it. November 7, baby!

I first saw the original The Day the Earth Stood Still as a young teen and I fell in love with the storyline. This looks so well made that 12/12 can't come soon enough. Klaatu barada nikto.

I generally live life one day at a time (or one vacation at a time), but these two will be stuck in the back of my brain and every once in a while, I'll think, "Can't wait for November!"

Quantum of Solace looks really good. I think the reboot they did with Daniel Craig really worked well. The last Bond movie was the best one in years.

I never saw The Day the Earth Stood Still, but the preview looked good.

Daniel Craig is the best thing to happen to the franchise. The last one was the best Bond film ever—yes, better than Connery-era—and this new one looks phenomenal.

You are not talking turkey, sir.

When I was young, Roger Moore was my favorite because he was funny and suave. When I was in my early 20's, I read all the books and came to see that Sean Connery was definitely more true to the character. Nobody can touch Daniel Craig, though. It makes me happy that he's doing Bond now, very, very happy.

The phrase "Quantum of Solace" is total word salad (it certainly sounded that way to the physics and chemistry Ph.Ds that I saw the movie with). Still, the new Bond movie looks cool.

I'm also excited about The Watchmen, although I do want to read the graphic novel first.

Toast and I will definitely be reading the graphic novel first. Or at least he will after he's done with the Sandman series and Duma Key. I don't know if I'll be done with TLOTR by then. And from what Adam says, it's awesome!
