Decolletage

Do we have any side-sleepers in the house? I need some help.

I am 43 years old. I got my parents' good aging genes and look younger than I am. I've got one furrow wrinkle in between my brows and a couple of worry lines on my forehead, but besides that I'm basically wrinkle-free.

That is, except for my upper chest. In this area, I more closely resemble a leathery, elderly sun-worshipper. I've found through some research that this is because I sleep on my side and it squishes that skin until there are ravines running south from the clavicles. Does anybody else have this problem? Have you found anything that fixes it? And I hate to say "fixes" like this is broken, but I don't like this area of my body looking so much older than any other part of me.

I'd appreciate any help at all.

I'm glad you said that and not me :). I would imagine at 43, sleeping in another position is pretty much a no go. I sleep mostly on my back, but I'm ok on my side for long stretches too. I have no idea what might help the wrinkles? Lotion? Maybe building the muscles in that area to stretch the skin?

I just noticed your post title and realized I had no idea what it meant. I thought it sounded like some kind of art. But google set me straight and now I know a new word.

Are you serious? I guess it's obvious you don't read historical romances :)

Actually, Tracy, I am a side sleeper (always) but can't say I have this problem. I've never heard of it. If you do get some tips, send them my way!

Decoupage isn't exactly an art....

I am a side sleeper but I generally hug a pillow of a blanket. I think they sell body pillows that might stop your body from 'scrunching' up.

Michelline, you're not old enough for the wrinkles. I just noticed them this year and I'm 43.

I think the pillow idea might be too late as the wrinkles are already there. I have to find a cream.
